Kennedi Dixon received a B.S in Special Education from Western Illinois University in 1995 and a Masters of Arts in School Administration from Concordia University, Riverforest, IL. Kennedi has been a member of the public service organization Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. since 1994. She is an active member of the Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education and the International Reading Association. She has been an educator and administrator in the western suburbs of Chicago for the past 15 years. She has worked as a community organizer and volunteer since high school through her church and in her current profession. She has written and received numerous grants in the area of elementary education. She completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at DePaul University. She is the Director of Special Education and Student Services in Bellwood District #88.
